Dedication

The festival is dedicated to Anthony Middleton, who sadly passed away in March 2017. Originally from the Blue Mountains in NSW, Tony had lived in the UK for over 50 years and was the most loyal supporter of the original Australian film festival and film society from their beginnings and had a huge breadth of knowledge of Australian film - we loved him deeply and he is deeply missed.

Cris Jones Memorial seat
G1 Regent Street Cinema

Director Cris Jones sadly passed away a short time after presenting his feature debut The Death and Life of Otto Bloom at our 2017 festival at the age of 37.
In tribute to Cris, we screen a feature debut at every festival, and fund the director to fly over to participate in a Q&A.
Thank you to all who made pledges for the memorial seat, you can find the plaque at Regent Street Cinema, seat G1.
